Council Annual Dinner 2023

The council and local guests gathered together on Friday for the Annual Dinner.  Held at the Welfare Hall the outgoing Mayor, Councillor Jeff Bowen and his Consort Mrs Mary Bowen, were thanked for their work during the year.  They have made many visits and attended a wide range of local events giving generously of their time from visits to our residents who reach 90 years and over, school and church concerts and the many charity and voluntary organisations supported by the council.  The Globe Inn provided the excellent catering and the highlight of the evening was the entertainment which was provided by Mal Pope and Chris Hughes.  The council would like to thank everyone who contributed and especially Mal and Chris who generously gave freely of their time.

Friends of Parc Williams Annual Egg Rolling Competition 2023

The weather was kind on Easter Monday and the biggest crowd in many years gathered to roll eggs down from the Loughor Castle Mound.  The competition attracted many entries from toddlers to grandparents. The Mayor of Llwchwr Jeff Bowen helped monitor the winners wit many entries attracting prizes.  Everyone then went down to the park where The Friends of The Park provided refreshments from the kiosk.

Cawl A Chan March 2023

Once again this annual event attracted a full welfare hall.  The Cawl was delicious (thanks Sandra and Ireen), Loughor Town Band was in fine tune and the singing was rousing.  Diolch yn fawr to everyone who took part and contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
